Celebrate Library Lovers’ Month with a Delicious Twist!
February is Library Lovers’ Month, a time to recognize the vital role libraries play in our communities. Library Lovers’ Month highlights the importance of libraries as spaces for learning, inspiration, and connection. It encourages people of all ages to visit their local libraries, explore new resources, and get involved in library programs.
 
Celebrate Library Lovers’ Month with the St. Johns County Public Library System and Mayday Ice Cream by trying the limited-edition flavor “Where the Wild Flavors Are,” a wild blueberry and dark chocolate ice cream with a hint of sea salt, created by library staff and chosen by public vote. Available Friday, February 13, through mid-March (or while supplies last) at St. Johns County Mayday locations. Stop by, enjoy a sweet treat, and you might even meet some Friends of the Library!

Discover Local Creativity at Main Branch Library
Experience the vibrant creativity of St. Johns County at the Main Branch Library with "Art at The Main"! This year-long exhibition features colorful Sing Out Loud Community Murals and original works by local artists, celebrating community connection and artistic expression. Free and open during library hours, it’s the perfect reason to visit the Main Branch and enjoy art alongside all the programs and resources your library offers.

Limited Service at Bartram Trail Branch During Closure
The Bartram Trail Branch will close temporarily beginning February 2, 2026, for renovations and is expected to reopen by mid-March. During the closure, no items from the Bartram Trail Branch Library will be due, late fees will be waived, and the book drop will be closed. Limited services will be available during select hours.

AARP Tax Help @ SJCPLS
The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program offers free tax preparation help at locations across St. Johns County to anyone who needs it, with special attention to those who are 50 or older or have low-to-moderate income. This service is free, and appointments are required.

February Holiday Closure
In observance of Presidents' Day, all St. Johns County Public Library System locations will be closed:
  • Monday, Feb. 16
  • Reopens Tuesday, Feb. 17
Book drops will remain open and virtual services including e-books, downloadables, and databases are available 24/7.
